Definitely we are living in the era of communication and it never was so important as it is today. I disagree that telephones and email have made communication between people less personal and will detail my reasons in this essay.
The society we live in runs in a very fast pace. We meet new people all the time and from everywhere. Since the telephone was invented, it has helped out a lot of people keep in contact to one another. Sometimes is hard to see a friend personally just because he or she do not live close to you. Letters are efficient but usually take a long time to reach the destiny. And sometimes it gets lost on its way. Telephones are different, you talk in real time and your listen to the others? voice as you were together in the same place. You can laugh? together, exchange confidences, know about the latest news and so on. In other words, you can really keep a very warm personal conversation through telephone.
