Teenagers today are so different from their parents, and grandparents, in that they so freely do what they want to do, and think they have done nothing wrong. Some people think only old-fashion parents still make arrangement for their children, Some even think it is impossible to let their rebel, stubborn children to listen what their parents tell them to do.
However, in my point of view, it is necessary for all of parents to carefully make important decisions for their older teenage children. We know many children will behavior disobedience and rebellion with their parents. Some of them even stay in constant trouble at school and with the police because of their disrespect for authority. It is very important for parents to understand that children do not have an adequate concept of society and the consequences of what they have done. At this time, parents? advices will protect children from harms which resulted from foolish young peoples? wrongdoing. Some years ago, One of my classmates was so-called “problem young man”. What he thought about all the day was to find funny from making all trouble for the others. After hearing so many reports from school about their son?s bad masterpiece, his Dad made a big decision to send him to a good private school known as strict discipline and supervision. Now that trouble boy becomes a good-manner gentleman, have a good job in a financial department.
A more essential factor why I advocate that Parent should play a real role to make decisions for their teenager children is that Parents are always a good teacher. They are very smart people because they have already lived through everything which their children are living through. They always prepared to give any help their children want. Their experiences about life are unmatchable asset to help children to make good decision. Many young people have initial naive dreams about career and social relations. After their parents tell them situations about what they actually got into at early years, young people would be shocked to discover the world is totally different from their fantasy.
