There is a great disagreement over whether it is more important for the governmentto spend more money on developing or buying computer technology or on more basic needs.
If I have to make a choice, I would choose the latter. In my opinion of view, basic needs are more important than computer technology.
For one thing, our country is a developing country, the basic needs is the first thing for our government to consider and to pay more attention to. For example, what I have known is a great number of people in our country are still suffering starvation and do not have enough food to eat and clothes to wear. To this point, our government should spend more money on solving such basic problems but not just consider some modern technology. It is not practicable.
For another, presently, basic needs is play an more important role in our people?s lives than the computer technology. Just imagine what would be like if our people do not have enough food to eat but our government has the most modern computer technology in the world. It is too ridiculous. If the basic needs can not be satisfied completely and the lives of our people can not be improved. People will not feel happy and may hate the government. As a result, the society would be not peaceful and the government would suffer some serious problems.
In conclusion, I agree with the opinion that the same money should be spent on more basic needs because our country is a developing country. Of course, to develop and buy computer technology is of great importance to a country’s development only after the basic needs was already satisfied.
